My Bio
I work mostly with paper and cloth these days - my early work was almost all clay and pottery. I study evolutionary biology and agriculture, and so much of my work lately has been focused on those themes. I also find myself making a lot of pieces inspired by video game and design artists - especially the insectile forms from StarCraft and Mass Effect.

While I certainly look at photo references, each of these sculptures is designed entirely by hand (mostly through trial and error), and once they are complete, I cut them apart and scan them to make a pattern - which is the reason why I have drawers of paper husks and dismembered ships!

My process begins with an idea, an image in my mind, and a thought to what that thing will look like when it is complete. These are ideas that spring from my surroundings, my past, and the creations of others. But these ideas have a long road to go before someone else can s
